A long, long time ago I made a list of storyline sources for this blog, which I've since been updating... veeeeeeery sporadically. Before I launch into the post-Mending storylines it seems like a good idea to do some housekeeping and finally give it a thorough update. With Magic's storyline being what it is we are once again dealing with a whole host of sources released in a variety of different media, so it'll be easy to miss something. This "article" is thus merely a list of everything I could find, and an open invitation to all of you to point out if I'm missing anything.
For those of you who just want reviews: the next two weeks are very busy for me, but I'm aiming for July 16th to post the first Lorwyn coverage!

Other Online Sources
- WotC YouTube Channel (mostly for the trailers)
- Shards of Alara minisite
- Conflux minisite
- Alara Reborn minisite
- Zendikar minisite
- Worldwake minisite
- Rise of the Eldrazi minisite
- Scars of Mirrodin minisite (the most important thing here was the "follow the war" feature, which had short stories from the Mirran and Phyrexian factions. I've been skimming through the Wayback Machine but I haven't been able to find a version of that feature that worked. Those stories have been partially reposted in this archived thread, though as the last post there mentions, it's not complete. There are also five overviews of longer stories linked to from the wiki (1, 2, 3, 4, 5) but these don't include some of the shorter stories. If anyone has a more complete collection, or if you're sure the reposts and the overviews together are everything, please let me know!)
- The Cursed Blade, Innistrad viral campaign
- The Hanweir Chronicle, Shadows over Innistrad viral campaign
- Magic Flash Fiction (Tumblr shorts, quickly turn into Flash Fan Fiction)
- Legends of Dominaria (a Facebook album, of all things! Later Lore on the Cards features were moved to the main website)
- Kamigawa: a Visual Novel
- Kamigawa: Neon Dynasty Manga
Random stuff included in pre-con decks and the like...
- Lorwyn Players Guide (contains the first snippets of lore on the Lorwyn Five)
- Garruk vs. Liliana Duel Deck insert (very minor, but it contains a reference to the Onakke being trolls)
- From the Vault: Lore insert (confirms that Mirrodin's timeline is warped)
- Dominaria Players Guide (nothing that wasn't covered elsewhere)
- Core Set 2019 Players Guide (has a reference to Vaevictis Asmadi being the ancestor of all Shivan Dragons)
Most of these inserts have nothing of lore value included in them, but you never know when someone at WotC decided to drop some pretty major stuff in there, like with FtV:Lore or Core 2019! There's loads of these things, so I have no idea whether this list is in any way near complete.
Random behind the scenes stuff...
- The "Ask Brady" archive, and more generally the Wizards Community Flavor and Storylines archive
- A Voice for Vorthos
Okay, here I do know I must be missing loads of stuff. For the pre-Mending era I had a pretty good idea where on MTGSalvation or Phyrexia.com I needed to dig to find authors and creative team members answering questions, but once things moved to sites like Tumblr or Twitter, which are a complete horror to navigate or search, I must be missing and awful lot. I'm not even sure if I'll ever cover the entirety of something like A Voice for Vorthos. But if there are specific posts you remember that contain important information, please let me know!
